Mind readers – the fake ones – are a dime a dozen. There is much trickery out there that passes for “the real thing” so don’t buy it…..But THIS was not trickery; this wasn’t fake–it WAS the real thing! Jesus, the Son of God, saw into the minds and hearts of those watching the whole scene. And the question, “Why are you thinking these things,” drove right to their hearts. He was right; He really knew!
Scary thought? Not really. He knows us better than we know ourselves. We can’t hide from Him – that keeps us accountable, and that is good. Father is watching out for us….but there’s more!
Thank God He knows what we think and feel–for He looks beyond the outer surface deep inside. So when we hurt, when we fret, when we worry, He knows, REALLY knows. And He is there–to bring peace to the troubled mind and heart.
Let Him bring peace to your troubled mind and heart today. The “Heavenly Mind Reader” knows – and that’s all we need to know. Believe it and have a God-filled, choco-covered day!
Prayer: “Lord, sometimes it’s scary to think that You know what I’m thinking – but thank You for keeping me accountable. And thank You for knowing my worry and concern today. I need Your peace – and I’m glad you KNOW, really know….help me this day, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

A recent survey compiled all the qualities that people expect from the perfect pastor:
~ Preaches exactly 12 minutes.
~ Frequently condemns sin but never upsets anyone.
~ Works from 8 a.m. until midnight and is also a janitor.
~ Makes $60 a week, wears good clothes, buys good books, drives a good car, and gives about $80 a week to the poor.
~ 28 years of age and has been preaching for 30 years.
~ Wonderfully gentle and good-looking.
~ A burning desire to work with teenagers, but is always with the senior citizens.
~ Makes 15 daily calls to church families, visits shut-ins and the hospitalized, evangelizes the unchurched, and is always in the office when needed.
